Wild Men in the Carolinas

Where art thou, my brother? Are you seeking God...or...doing your own thing (good luck)...or...being a religious, working-hard-to-obey-all-the-rules, living a life of quiet desperation kinda-guy (man, that REALLY sucks...been there, starred in the movie, printed the tee shirt). Are you living from a "whole heart" or are you on the treadmill, worn out, frustrated...just trying to hold on? Do the same things keep beating the crap out of you...sexual stuff, finances, marriage, addictions, relationship struggles? Or are you buying into the "iron sharpens iron" concept and connecting with other men? Talking about REAL stuff...forming REAL relationships. If you're doing the Lone Ranger thing I don't like your chances. May work for a while. But the battle is too great to fight alone. Who's in your foxhole? Guys are meeting around town in coffee shops, barns, by a fire pit. To find some men to connect with or to let us know about existing groups, touch base at warriors@carolina.rr.com

Top Gun 2012 -  March 29-April 1
Evey year, hundreds of men from the Southeast and beyond head for Young Life's Camp Rockbridge in Virginia for one of the top men's events anywhere.  Led by the team at Zoweh Ministries out of Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill, the Top Gun "boot camp" engages the hearts of men as well as provides a time to exhale and connect with other brothers. Bunch of Charlotte area guys will be there...join us. Check it out - www.zoweh.org

Rough Cut Men coming to town? We're trying to finalize David Dusek coming to the Charlotte area...stay tuned. Check this out.

"The Barn" - a multi-church fellowship of men meeting weekly EVERY Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ten minutes south of Ballantyne in Charlotte. Hoping to launch a new group in Rock Hill off India Hook Road at "The Dog House" and looking to start in Huntersville in 2012. Stay tuned to http://www.barnbrothers.org/ as well as www.facebook.com/barnbrothers

Joe Kissack came to  Charlotte - November 15th-19th.  A Hollywood mover and shaker (who hated his life) was captivated by the true story of three Mexican fisherman who were blown 5,500 miles over NINE months surviving on rainwater, raw fish...and their faith.  He rocked Charlotte this past Fall. Joe is based in Atlanta but will go anywhere to tell his story. http://www.thefourthfisherman.com/  video below.

Author Lee Strobel says of Joe K: “Faith and hope unite the unlikely stories of Mexican fishermen lost at sea and an American TV executive even more profoundly lost in his affluence. You’ll be inspired by this passionate tale of intertwined lives, touched by the author’s unvarnished honesty, and challenged to trust God in fresh ways. Here’s an adventure story that may well launch you on your own new adventures with God.”
